Sheila Rennick graduated from The National College of Art and Design in Dublin with a degree in Fine Art painting in 2004. On graduating she was co-recipient of the prestigious CAP foundation award in 2004, Dublin. She went on to do an MA in painting at St. Martins College, London in 2006. On graduating she was one of 30 artists selected from across the UK for the notable Jerwood Contemporary painting exhibition London in 2007. In 2011 she travelled to Washington DC with Monster Truck Gallery to take part in a residency and exhibit in the CIty. Her work was subsequently purchased by City Bank in New York.

 

In 2017 she completed a painting residency in Boardeaux resulting in an exhbition at Pierre Poumet Contemporary Arts Boardeaux. Recent exhbitions have included The Marmite Painting Prize, London 2016 where she was awarded runner up. Other recent shows include Rain Wetting Thirst at Lewisham Art House London and Pretty Fleshy Paintings at Hillsboro FIne Art, Dublin in 2019. Her work is in collections such as The Office of Public Works Ireland, Fingal County Council, Dublin and Trinity College Dublin as well as many private collections. She lives and works in London.
