Connie Converse was a pioneering American singer-songwriter in the late 1950s and early 1960s, often celebrated for her introspective lyrics and unique folk style. Despite her early influence, in 1974 she vanished from the music scene and mysteriously disappeared in search of a new life and was not seen or heard from again. Despite the obscurity of her music during her lifetime, her work gained recognition, How Sad, How Lovely, was released was 2009.
