€5,000

The migrant life feels like clay in a potter’s hands: malleable, fragile, constantly reshaped. This interplay between human hands and clay has been instrumental in shaping the course of civilization, giving birth to the earliest clay tokens—small symbols that embodied value, enabled cultural exchange, and conveyed complex ideas, long before written language existed.

It’s endlessly fascinating how something so simple can hold such profound depth and meaning, much like music.

Connan Mockasin’s ‘Forever Dolphin Love’, pushes me towards that magic—an invisible thread that weaves through time and space. But alongside that magic, there’s loss. Like clay tokens crumbling with age, parts of life erode—people, places,
memories.

What lingers is the essence, the echo of what once was.
