On Dec 2 Artform Annual 44 Art Exhibition opened at 44 The Quay, Waterford.
Following the success of the last three years, Artform Annual Exhibition is back for its fourth edition in the stunning three storey period building at 44 The Quay in the Waterford Cultural Quarter, in the festive context of Winterval - the Waterford Christmas Festival. With nearly 300 art works by 170 Irish-based artists, this is one of the biggest exhibitions of visual art in Ireland every year. This exhibition is Artform’s flagship event. Artform provides unique platform for visual artists in the South-East through its stunning art school in Dunmore East and various exhibitions. This year’s annual show features both contemporary and plein air artists included by invitation and through an open call selection process.The carefully curated show offers an opportunity for conversation of artistic expressions by selected and established Irish artists as diverse as Eamon Colman, Fergus Martin, Pat Harris,
Vera Clute, Elaine Byrne or Salvatore of Lucan to name a few.
In collaboration with GOMA Gallery of Modern Art Waterford and the Waterford business community, a series of prizes including solo show opportunities as well monetary awards were awarded to artwork of merit in selected categories to the following artists: Artform Waterford Platform Award solo show - Ben Hennessy; GOMA solo show awarded jointly - Ciaran Bowen and Mary Butler; Frisby Homes Artist of Distinction - Zsolt Basti; Dlight Lighting Design and DVF Print & Graphic Solutions Artist of Merit - Michael O'Leary and John Albert Duignan; The Strand Inn Plein Air Award - Tony Gunning; Big Look Art Mentorship Award - Sile Walsh.
All artwork is available for sale in the gallery at 44 The Quay, Waterford, and shortly also in our online gallery at www.artform.ie.


The exhibition is open daily from 2 to 23 Dec, Mon to Sat 12 noon to 6pm and Sun 1pm to 6pm.
